Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that by the One Who sent Muhammad (peace be upon him) with the truth, the Prophet (peace be upon him) never saw a sieve, nor did he ever eat bread made from sifted flour; this remained the case from the time of his Prophethood until his passing. Urwah says: I asked, how did you people eat barley bread without sifting it? She replied: We used to say "Uff" (expressing discomfort as we swallowed it with difficulty, or we would just blow on it with our mouths).
