حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، وَقُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ: جَاءَ بِلَالٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ، ، اللهِ، مَاتَتْ فُلَانَةُ وَاسْتَرَاحَتْ، فَغَضِبَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَالَ: " إِنَّمَا يَسْتَرِيحُ مَنْ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ "، قَالَ قُتَيْبَةُ: " مَنْ غُفِرَ لَهُ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the Prophet’s court and said, "O Messenger of Allah! Such-and-such woman has passed away and she has attained comfort." The Prophet (ﷺ) replied with displeasure, "True comfort is only for the one who enters Paradise."
