حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ لَمِيسَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ: " كَانَ يَخْلِطُ فِي الْعِشْرِينَ الْأُولَى، النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ نَوْمٍ وَصَلَاةٍ، فَإِذَا دَخَلَتِ الْعَشْرُ جَدَّ وشَدَّ الْمِئْزَرَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that during the first twenty days of Ramadan, the Prophet (ﷺ) would both sleep and pray, but when the last ten days began, the Prophet (ﷺ) would strive hard and tighten his waistcloth.
