حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي لُبَابَةَ الْعُقَيْلِيِّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ تَقُولُ: " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَصُومُ حَتَّى نَقُولَ: مَا يُرِيدُ أَنْ يُفْطِرَ، وَيُفْطِرُ حَتَّى نَقُولَ: مَا يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَصُومَ، وَكَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي كُلِّ لَيْلَةٍ بِبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ، وَالزُّمَرِ " (٢)، ، . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that sometimes the Prophet (ﷺ) would fast so continuously that we would say, "Now the Prophet (ﷺ) will keep fasting continuously," and sometimes he would leave off fasting so much that we would say, "Now the Prophet (ﷺ) will keep leaving off fasting continuously." And the Prophet (ﷺ) used to recite Surah Bani Isra'il and Surah Az-Zumar every night.
