حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، وَأَبِي، عَنْ أَبِي (١) إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ، عَنْ صَلَاةِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِاللَّيْلِ فَقَالَتْ: " يَنَامُ (٢) أَوَّلَهُ، وَيَقُومُ آخِرَهُ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
Aswad (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I asked Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) about the Tahajjud prayer of the Prophet (ﷺ), so she replied that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to sleep in the early part of the night and stand (in prayer) in the last part of the night.
