حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي سَعْدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " قَدْ كَانَ فِي الْأُمَمِ مُحَدَّثُونَ، فَإِنْ يَكُنْ مِنْ أُمَّتِي فَعُمَرُ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Among the previous nations there were some people who were Muhaddath (those who received inspiration from Allah); if there is any such person in my Ummah, it is Umar.
