Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ: " تَزَوَّجَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهِيَ بِنْتُ تِسْعِ سِنِينَ، وَمَاتَ عَنْهَا وَهِيَ بِنْتُ ثَمَانِ عَشْرَةَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet (ﷺ) married her, her age was nine years, and when the Prophet (ﷺ) departed from this world, Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) was eighteen years old.
