حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ أَبِي النَّضْرِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ،، ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ، فَإِذَا فَرَغَ مِنْ صَلَاتِهِ اضْطَجَعَ، فَإِنْ كُنْتُ يَقْظَى، (١) تَحَدَّثَ مَعِي، وَإِنْ كُنْتُ نَائِمَةً نَامَ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَهُ الْمُؤَذِّنُ " (٢)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Aisha that when the Prophet (peace be upon him) finished offering the Tahajjud prayer at night, he would lie down. If I was awake, he would talk with me, and if I was asleep, he would also sleep until the muezzin came.
