حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ إِحْدَى عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً، يُوتِرُ مِنْهَا بِوَاحِدَةٍ، فَإِذَا فَرَغَ مِنْ صَلَاتِهِ اضْطَجَعَ عَلَى شِقِّهِ الْأَيْمَنِ " (١)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to offer eleven rak'ahs after the 'Isha prayer at night, and would offer one rak'ah of Witr, and after completing the prayer, he would lie down on his right side.
