Original Arabic
٢٤٠١٧ - حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، عَنْ أَبِي حُرَّةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ: " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا قَامَ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ يُصَلِّي، افْتَتَحَ صَلَاتَهُ بِرَكْعَتَيْنِ خَفِيفَتَيْنِ " (١)
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet (ﷺ) would wake up at night to perform prayer, he would begin the prayer with two light rak'ahs.
