Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، قَالَ: أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، أَخُو سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ كَثِيرٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ، " أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي غَزَاةٍ قَالَ: وَفِينَا مَمْلُوكِينَ فَلَمْ (١) يَقْسِمْ لَهُمْ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Fadala (may Allah be pleased with him) that once he participated in a battle along with the noble companions (may Allah be pleased with them), in which slaves were also included, but the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) did not give them a share.
