Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ (١) الطَّالَقَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَلَّهُ أَشَدُّ أَذَنًا إِلَى الرَّجُلِ حَسَنِ الصَّوْتِ بِالْقُرْآنِ، مِنْ صَاحِبِ الْقَيْنَةِ إِلَى قَيْنَتِهِ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Fadala (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: The way the owner of a singing girl listens attentively to her singing, Allah Almighty listens with much greater attention to the voice of the person who recites the Holy Qur'an in a beautiful voice.
