حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي مَرْزُوقٍ، عَنْ فَضَالَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، سَمِعْتُهُ يُحَدِّثُ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ عَلَيْهِمْ فِي يَوْمٍ كَانَ يَصُومُهُ، فَدَعَا بِإِنَاءٍ فِيهِ مَاءٌ فَشَرِبَ، فَقُلْنَا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّ هَذَا الْيَوْمَ كُنْتَ تَصُومُهُ قَالَ: " أَجَلْ، وَلَكِنْ قِئْتُ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Fadala (may Allah be pleased with him) that one day the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) came to us. On that day, he would generally be fasting. The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) asked for a vessel of water and drank from it. We said, "O Messenger of Allah! On this day you used to fast." The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Yes! But today I vomited."
