Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ صُهَيْبٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقُولُ: " إِذَا لَقِيَ الْعَدُوَّ اللهُمَّ بِكَ أَحُولُ، وَبِكَ أَصُولُ، وَبِكَ أُقَاتِلُ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Suhaib (may Allah be pleased with him) that when facing the enemy, the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) used to supplicate: O Allah! I seek strategy only through Your help, I attack only with Your help, and I fight only with Your help.
