حَدِيثُ يُوسُفَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سَلَامٍ، ٢٣٨٣٥ - حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا بُكَيْرُ بْنُ الْأَشَجِّ، عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سَلَامٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَحْنُ بِخَيْرٍ أَمْ مَنْ بَعْدَنَا؟، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَوْ أَنْفَقَ أَحَدُهُمْ أُحُدًا ذَهَبًا، مَا بَلَغَ مُدَّ أَحَدِكُمْ، وَلَا نَصِيفَهُ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Yusuf (may Allah be pleased with him) that he asked the Holy Prophet (ﷺ), "Are we better or those who will come after us?" The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said, "If any person from those who come after were to spend gold equal to Mount Uhud, it would not reach even the equivalent of one mudd or half of it from you."
