حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا قَيْسُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هَاشِمٍ، عَنْ زَاذَانَ،، ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ، قَالَ: قَرَأْتُ فِي التَّوْرَاةِ: بَرَكَةُ الطَّعَامِ الْوُضُوءُ بَعْدَهُ، قَالَ: فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَخْبَرْتُهُ بِمَا قَرَأْتُ فِي التَّوْرَاةِ فَقَالَ: " بَرَكَةُ الطَّعَامِ الْوُضُوءُ قَبْلَهُ وَالْوُضُوءُ بَعْدَهُ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Salman Farsi (may Allah be pleased with him) that I had read in the Torah that the blessing of food is in washing the hands before it. I mentioned this to the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) and referred to what I had read in the Torah. The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: The blessing of food is in washing the hands before it and also in washing the hands after it.
