حَدِيثُ كَعْبِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ (١)، ٢٣٦٧٩ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ أُمِّ الدَّرْدَاءِ، عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ (٢) الْأَشْعَرِيِّ وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ السَّقِيفَةِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " لَيْسَ مِنَ امْ بِرِّ، امْ صِيَامُ، فِي امْ سَفَرِ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ka'b bin Asim Ash'ari, may Allah be pleased with him, who was among the Companions of Saqifah, that I heard the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "Fasting during travel is not an act of virtue."
