حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عِيسَى، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ أَبِي حُمَيْدٍ، أَوْ حُمَيْدَةَ، الشَّكُّ مِنْ زُهَيْرٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِذَا خَطَبَ أَحَدُكُمْ امْرَأَةً، فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِ أَنْ يَنْظُرَ إِلَيْهَا إِذَا كَانَ إِنَّمَا يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهَا لِخِطْبَةٍ (١) ، وَإِنْ كَانَتْ لَا تَعْلَمُ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Humaid Sa'idi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: When any one of you sends a proposal of marriage to a woman, there is no harm in looking at her if there is an intention of marriage, even if the woman does not know.
