Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Ayyub Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that he used to be in his tent when a jinn woman would come and grab him. He complained about this to the Noble Prophet (ﷺ), so the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Now when you see her, say this: 'Bismillah, respond to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ).'" So, the next time she came, he said this to her and caught her. She promised that she would not come to him again, so he let her go and went to the service of the Noble Prophet (ﷺ). The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) asked him, "What did your captive do?" He replied, "I caught her, but she promised that she would not come again, so I let her go." The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "She will come again." So, I caught her two or three times, and each time she said that she would not come again. Finally, one time she said, "Let me go this time, I will teach you something; if you say it, nothing will come near you." And that is Ayat al-Kursi. Then he went to the service of the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) and told him this. The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "She spoke the truth, although she is a liar."
