حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، وَحَجَّاجٌ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ أَخِيهِ عِيسَى، عَنْ أَبِيهِ،، ، عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " إِذَا عَطَسَ أَحَدُكُمْ، فَلْيَقُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ عَلَى كُلِّ حَالٍ، وَلْيَقُلِ الَّذِي يَرُدُّ عَلَيْهِ يَرْحَمُكَ اللهُ، وَلْيَقُلْ هُوَ: يَهْدِيكَ اللهُ وَيُصْلِحُ بَالَكَ " قَالَ حَجَّاجٌ: " يَهْدِيكُمُ اللهُ وَيُصْلِحُ بَالَكُمْ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Ayyub Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: When any one of you sneezes, he should say "Alhamdulillah ala kulli hal" (All praise is due to Allah in every circumstance). The one who replies should say "Yarhamuk Allah" (May Allah have mercy on you), and the one who sneezed should say "Yahdikum Allah wa yuslihu balakum" (May Allah guide you and set your affairs right).
