حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ وَرْقَاءَ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " مَنْ صَامَ رَمَضَانَ وَسِتًّا مِنْ شَوَّالٍ، فَقَدْ صَامَ الدَّهْرَ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Ayyub Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: Whoever fasts during the month of Ramadan and then fasts six days after Eid al-Fitr, he will receive the reward of fasting for the whole year.
