حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مُوسَى بْنَ طَلْحَةَ، أَنَّ أَبَا أَيُّوبَ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أَعْرَابِيًّا عَرَضَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ فِي مَسِيرٍ، فَأَخَذَ بِخِطَامِ نَاقَتِهِ، أَوْ بِزِمَامِ نَاقَتِهِ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَوْ يَا مُحَمَّدُ، أَخْبِرْنِي بِمَا يُقَرِّبُنِي مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ، وَيُبَاعِدُنِي مِنَ النَّارِ قَالَ: " تَعْبُدُ اللهَ وَلَا تُشْرِكُ بِهِ شَيْئًا، وَتُقِيمُ الصَّلَاةَ، وَتُؤْتِي الزَّكَاةَ، وَتَصِلُ الرَّحِمَ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Ayyub Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) was on a journey when a Bedouin came before him and held the reins of the Prophet’s camel and said, “O Messenger of Allah! Tell me of an action that will bring me near to Paradise and keep me away from Hell.” The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Worship Allah, do not associate anything with Him, establish prayer, pay zakat, and maintain ties of kinship.”
