Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ يَعْنِي الْخُرَاسَانِيَّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ اللَّيْثِيُّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ شِهَابٍ، يَقُولُ: أَشْهَدُ عَلَى عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ اللَّيْثِيِّ، أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُ، عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " مَا مِنْ رَجُلٍ يَغْرِسُ غَرْسًا إِلَّا كَتَبَ اللهُ لَهُ مِنَ الْأَجْرِ قَدْرَ مَا يَخْرُجُ مِنْ ثَمَرِ ذَلِكَ الْغِرَاسُ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Ayyub Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: Whoever plants a sapling, for every fruit that comes from it, Allah writes an equal reward for that person.
