حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ هُبَيْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحُبُلِيِّ، أَنَّ أَبَا أَيُّوبَ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ قَالَ: أُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِقَصْعَةٍ فِيهَا بَصَلٌ فَقَالَ: " كُلُوا "، وَأَبَى أَنْ يَأْكُلَ، وَقَالَ: " إِنِّي لَسْتُ كَمِثْلِكُمْ " (٢)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Ayyub (may Allah be pleased with him) that once a bowl containing onions was brought to the Noble Prophet (ﷺ). The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) told the people, "You eat it," but he himself refused to eat it and said, "I am not like you."
