حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ، قَالَ: وَأَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ: كَانَ أَبُو إِدْرِيسَ عَائِذُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْخَوْلَانِيُّ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنَ الْيَمَانِ يَقُولُ: وَاللهِ إِنِّي لَأَعْلَمُ النَّاسِ (٤)، ، بِكُلِّ فِتْنَةٍ هِيَ كَائِنَةٌ فِيمَا بَيْنَي وَبَيْنَ السَّاعَةِ، وَمَا بِي أَنْ يَكُونَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَسَرَّ إِلَيَّ فِي ذَلِكَ شَيْئًا لَمْ يُحَدِّثْ غَيْرِي بِهِ، وَلَكِنِ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ وَهُوَ يُحَدِّثُ مَجْلِسًا أَنَا فِيهِمْ عَنِ الْفِتَنِ، قَالَ وَهُوَ يَعُدُّهَا: " مِنْهُنَّ ثَلَاثٌ لَا يَكَدْنَ يَذَرْنَ شَيْئًا، وَمِنْهُنَّ فِتَنٌ كَرِيَاحِ الصَّيْفِ، مِنْهَا صِغَارٌ وَمِنْهَا كِبَارٌ "، قَالَ حُذَيْفَةُ: فَذَهَبَ أُولَئِكَ الرَّهْطُ كُلُّهُمْ غَيْرِي (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Hudhaifah bin Yaman (may Allah be pleased with him) that, by Allah! I know more than all people about all the tribulations that will occur from now until the Day of Judgment. It was not that the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) told me something exclusively that he did not tell anyone else, but rather, I was present in the gathering in which the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) mentioned these matters. Questions were being asked to the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) regarding tribulations, and the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) was counting them. Among them, there are three tribulations that will leave nothing untouched; some of them will be like the winds of summer, some will be small, and some will be great. Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him) says that, except for me, all the participants of that gathering have departed from this world.
