حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، أَخْبَرَنَا شَرِيكُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ أَبِي النَّجُودِ، عَنْ زِرِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: ـ يَعْنِي لِحُذَيْفَةَ ـ: يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ، تَسَحَّرْتَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ "، قُلْتُ: أَكَانَ الرَّجُلُ يُبْصِرُ مَوَاقِعَ نَبْلِهِ؟ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ، هُوَ النَّهَارُ إِلَّا أَنَّ الشَّمْسَ لَمْ تَطْلُعْ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
Zirr bin Hubaish says that once I asked Hudhaifa bin Yaman (may Allah be pleased with him), "At what time did you eat sahur with the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)?" He replied, "Yes!" I asked him, "At that time, could a person see the place where his arrow would fall?" He replied, "Yes! At that time it would be day, but the sun would not have risen yet."
