حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَنْصُورٌ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَ: " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ نَشْرَبَ فِي آنِيَةِ الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ، وَأَنْ نَأْكُلَ فِيهَا، وَأَنْ نَلْبَسَ الْحَرِيرَ وَالدِّيبَاجَ "، وَقَالَ: " هِيَ لَهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَلَكُمْ فِي الْآخِرَةِ " (٢)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) forbade wearing silk and brocade and using gold and silver utensils, and said: These things are for the disbelievers in this world and for us in the Hereafter.
