حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، حَدَّثَنِي شَقِيقٌ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَ: " كُنْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي طَرِيقٍ فَتَنَحَّى، فَأَتَى سُبَاطَةَ قَوْمٍ فَتَبَاعَدْتُ (٢) ، فَأَدْنَانِي حَتَّى صِرْتُ قَرِيبًا مِنْ عَقِبَيْهِ فَبَالَ قَائِمًا، وَدَعَا بِمَاءٍ فَتَوَضَّأَ، وَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Hudhaifa bin Yaman (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I was with the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) on a certain path. While walking, we reached a place where rubbish was thrown. The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) stood and urinated as any one of you does. I started to move back, but the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Stay close." So I came close to his back. Then the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) asked for water, performed ablution, and wiped over his leather socks.
