حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ الْهَاشِمِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ جَعْفَرٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرٌو يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي عَمْرٍو، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَشْهَلِيِّ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ الْيَمَانِ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ، لَتَأْمُرُنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ، وَلَتَنْهَوُنَّ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ، أَوْ لَيُوشِكَنَّ اللهُ أَنْ يَبْعَثَ عَلَيْكُمْ عِقَابًا مِنْ عِنْدِهِ، ثُمَّ لَتَدْعُنَّهُ فَلَا يَسْتَجِيبُ لَكُمْ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: By Him in Whose hand is my soul, you must enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong, otherwise Allah will send such a punishment upon you that you will supplicate to Allah but your supplications will not be accepted.
