English translation

It is narrated from Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) related to us two hadiths, of which I have seen one and am awaiting the other. The Noble Prophet (ﷺ), mentioning the removal of trustworthiness, said: A man will sleep, and trustworthiness will be taken out from his heart, and only a trace the size of a dot will remain in his heart. Then, when he sleeps again, the remainder of trustworthiness will also be taken out from his heart, and it will be left like a blister on a person's foot; you will throw a burning coal on it, and it will appear swollen to you, but there will be nothing inside it. Then Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) took some pebbles and rolled them over his foot to demonstrate. After that, people will engage in buying and selling with one another, but there will not be anyone who fulfills trust, to the extent that it will be said: There is a trustworthy man among the sons of so-and-so. Likewise, it will be said: How strong and wise he is, even though there will not be faith in his heart equal to a mustard seed. And a time passed over me when I did not care with whom I did business, for if he was a Muslim, he would return it to me on account of his religion, and if he was a Christian or a Jew, he would return it to me on account of his governor. But now, I only do business with such-and-such person.
