حَدِيثُ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ الْيَمَانِ (١) عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ٢٣٢٤٠ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ يَعْنِي الْأَعْمَشَ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ، عَنِ الْمُسْتَوْرِدِ، عَنْ صِلَةَ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَ: صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَكَانَ يَقُولُ فِي، ، رُكُوعِهِ: " سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الْعَظِيمِ "، وَفِي سُجُودِهِ: " سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الْأَعْلَى "، قَالَ: وَمَا مَرَّ بِآيَةِ رَحْمَةٍ إِلَّا وَقَفَ عِنْدَهَا فَسَأَلَ، وَلَا آيَةِ عَذَابٍ إِلَّا تَعَوَّذَ مِنْهَا (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I prayed with the Noble Prophet (ﷺ). The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) would say "Subhana Rabbiyal Azeem" in his bowing (ruku) and "Subhana Rabbiyal A'la" in his prostration (sajda). Whenever he passed by a verse of mercy, he would pause and supplicate, and whenever he passed by a verse of punishment, he would pause and seek refuge from it.
