Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ خُثَيْمٍ أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ الْهِلَالِيُّ، حَدَّثَتْنِي جَدَّتِي رِبْعِيَّةُ ابْنَةُ عِيَاضٍ الْكِلَابِيَّةُ، قَالَتْ: سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا يَقُولُ: " كُلُوا الرُّمَّانَ بِشَحْمِهِ فَإِنَّهُ دِبَاغُ الْمَعِدَةِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Eat pomegranate along with its peel because it acts as a tanning agent for the stomach.
