Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَشْجَعِيُّ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يِسَافٍ (٣) ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " سَيَكُونُ قَوْمٌ لَهُمْ عَهْدٌ، فَمَنْ قَتَلَ رَجُلًا مِنْهُمْ لَمْ يَرَحْ رَائِحَةَ الْجَنَّةِ، وَإِنَّ رِيحَهَا لَتُوجَدُ مِنْ مَسِيرَةِ سَبْعِينَ عَامًا " (٤)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from a Companion (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Soon there will be a people among the dhimmis; whoever kills any one of them will not even smell the fragrance of Paradise, though its fragrance can be perceived from a distance of seventy years."
