حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَجُلًا مِنْ بَنِي لَيْثٍ قَالَ: أَسَرَنِي نَاسٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَكُنْتُ مَعَهُمْ، فَأَصَابُوا غَنَمًا، فَانْتَهَبُوهَا فَطَبَخُوهَا، قَالَ: فَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " إِنَّ النُّهْبَى ـ أَوِ النُّهْبَةَ ـ لَا تَصْلُحُ، فَأَكْفِئُوا الْقُدُورَ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from a man of Banulais that the companions of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) detained me. I was with them when they came across a flock of goats. They plundered it and began to cook it. Then I said, "I have heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) say that plundering is not permissible, so overturn your pots."
