Abu Al-Aliyah (may Allah be pleased with him) says that once thirty companions (may Allah be pleased with them) gathered and said that the prayers in which the Prophet (ﷺ) used to recite aloud are known to us, and those in which he did not recite aloud cannot be compared to the prayers in which he did; therefore, agree upon one opinion. Among them, there were not even two people who differed in this matter: that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to recite in each of the first two rak'ahs of Zuhr an amount equal to thirty verses, and in the last two rak'ahs an amount equal to half of that; while in the first two rak'ahs of Asr, he used to recite an amount equal to half of the recitation of the first two rak'ahs of Zuhr, and in the last two rak'ahs, an amount equal to half of that.
