حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا دَلْهَمُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ شَيْخٍ لَهُمْ يُقَالُ لَهُ حُجَيْرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْكِنْدِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ النَّجَاشِيَّ " أَهْدَى إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: خُفَّيْنِ أَسْوَدَيْنِ سَاذَجَيْنِ فَلَبِسَهُمَا، ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَيْهِمَا " (١)، ، . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Negus, the king of Abyssinia, presented two plain black socks as a gift to the Noble Prophet (ﷺ). The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) wore them and wiped over them while performing ablution.
