Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، (١) حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ الرِّيَاحِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَمِّ نَبِيِّكُمْ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، كَانَ يَدْعُو بِهَذِهِ الدَّعَوَاتِ عِنْدَ الْكَرْبِ: " لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ الْعَلِيمُ (٢) الْعَظِيمُ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ السَّبْعِ وَرَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرِيمِ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنه) that:
The Prophet (ﷺ) circumambulated the Ka'bah seven times running, and he only ran because he wanted to show the people that he was strong.
