حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَالِكِ ابْنِ بُحَيْنَةَ قَالَ: مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِرَجُلٍ، وَقَدْ أُقِيمَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْفَجْرِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ شَيْئًا لَا نَدْرِي مَا هُوَ، فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفْنَا أَحَطْنَا بِهِ نَقُولُ: مَاذَا، ، قَالَ لَكَ رَسُولُ اللهِ؟ قَالَ: قَالَ لِي " يُوشِكُ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ الصُّبْحَ أَرْبَعًا " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Buhaina (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) saw a man performing the two Sunnah rak'ahs of Fajr at a time when the congregational prayer had already begun. After the prayer was finished, the people surrounded him, and the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Are there four rak'ahs in Fajr?"
