Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ، حَدَّثَنَا شُجَاعُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ (١) ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ قَالَ: قَالَ عُبَادَةُ بْنُ الصَّامِتِ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " مَنْ جُرِحَ فِي جَسَدِهِ جِرَاحَةً فَتَصَدَّقَ بِهَا كَفَّرَ اللهُ عَنْهُ بِمِثْلِ مَا تَصَدَّقَ بِهِ " (٢)
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ubadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) say: Whoever receives a wound on his body and then gives charity, Allah Almighty, in proportion to that charity, expiates his sins.
