Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Ubadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) and said, "O Messenger of Allah! What is the duration of ease for your Ummah?" The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) did not give him any answer. He asked the same question three times, and the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) did not answer him even once, until he went back. After a short while, the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Where is that questioner?" The people called him. The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said to him, "You have asked me a question that no one from my Ummah has asked me before. The duration of ease for my Ummah is one hundred years." He repeated this two or three times. The man asked, "Is there any sign or indication of its ending?" The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Yes! The earth sinking, earthquakes occurring, and devils being set upon the people."
