حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ عَقِيلِ بْنِ مُدْرِكٍ السُّلَمِيِّ، عَنْ لُقْمَانَ (١) بْنِ عَامِرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي رَاشِدٍ الْحُبْرَانِيِّ (٢) ، عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " مَنْ عَبَدَ اللهَ لَا يُشْرِكُ بِهِ شَيْئًا فَأَقَامَ الصَّلَاةَ، وَآتَى الزَّكَاةَ، وَسَمِعَ وَأَطَاعَ، فَإِنَّ اللهَ يُدْخِلُهُ مِنْ أَيِّ أَبْوَابِ الْجَنَّةِ شَاءَ، وَلَهَا ثَمَانِيَةُ أَبْوَابٍ، وَمَنْ عَبَدَ اللهَ لَا يُشْرِكُ بِهِ شَيْئًا وَأَقَامَ الصَّلَاةَ، وَآتَى الزَّكَاةَ، وَسَمِعَ وَعَصَى، فَإِنَّ اللهَ مِنْ أَمْرِهِ بِالْخِيَارِ إِنْ شَاءَ رَحِمَهُ، وَإِنْ شَاءَ عَذَّبَهُ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ubadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: Whoever worships Allah in such a way that he does not associate anyone with Him, establishes prayer, pays zakat, listens and obeys, then Allah Almighty will give him the choice to enter through any of the eight gates of Paradise. And whoever worships Allah in such a way that he does not associate anyone with Him, establishes prayer, pays zakat, listens but disobeys, then Allah Almighty has the choice regarding him: if He wills, He may have mercy on him, and if He wills, He may punish him.
