حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكُ بْنُ الْخَيْرِ الزِّبَادِيُّ (١) ، عَنْ أَبِي قَبِيلٍ الْمَعَافِرِيِّ، عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَيْسَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي مَنْ لَمْ يُجِلَّ كَبِيرَنَا، وَيَرْحَمْ صَغِيرَنَا، وَيَعْرِفْ لِعَالِمِنَا " قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ: وَسَمِعْتُهُ أَنَا مِنْ هَارُونَ (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ubadah bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: He is not from my Ummah who does not honor our elders, show mercy to our young ones, and recognize the status of a scholar.
