حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، حَدَّثَنِي عُبَادَةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ الْوَلِيدِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ، وَكَانَ أَحَدَ النُّقَبَاءِ، قَالَ: " بَايَعْنَا رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْعَةَ الْحَرْبِ، وَكَانَ عُبَادَةُ مِنَ الِاثْنَيْ عَشَرَ الَّذِينَ بَايَعُوا فِي الْعَقَبَةِ الْأُولَى عَلَى بَيْعَةِ النِّسَاءِ،: فِي السَّمْعِ وَالطَّاعَةِ، ، فِي عُسْرِنَا وَيُسْرِنَا، وَمَنْشَطِنَا وَمَكْرَهِنَا، وَلَا نُنَازِعُ (١) الْأَمْرَ أَهْلَهُ، وَأَنْ نَقُولَ بِالْحَقِّ حَيْثُمَا كُنَّا لَا نَخَافُ فِي اللهِ لَوْمَةَ لَائِمٍ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ubadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that we pledged allegiance to the Prophet (ﷺ) on the condition that we would listen and obey in every difficulty and ease, in every state of activity and inactivity, and that we would not dispute with the rightful person in any matter. Wherever we may be, we will speak the truth, and we will not fear the blame of any blamer in the matter of Allah.
