حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادٌ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ جَبَلَةَ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " مَنْ غَزَا فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ وَهُوَ لَا يَنْوِي فِي غَزَاتِهِ إِلَّا عِقَالًا فَلَهُ مَا نَوَى " (٤)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ubadah bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: Whoever fights in the way of Allah, but his intention in this jihad is to obtain a rope, then he will get only that for which he intended.
