حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي مَسْلَمَةَ (١) قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا نَضْرَةَ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي مَنْ هُوَ خَيْرٌ مِنِّي، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِعَمَّارٍ حِينَ جَعَلَ يَحْفِرُ الْخَنْدَقَ وَجَعَلَ يَمْسَحُ رَأْسَهُ وَيَقُولُ: " بُؤْسَ ابْنِ سُمَيَّةَ تَقْتُلُكَ الْفِئَةُ الْبَاغِيَةُ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) that a person better than me narrated to me: When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) began digging the trench, he would dust off the head of Ammar (may Allah be pleased with him) and would say, "O son of Sumayyah! Alas, a rebellious group will martyr you."
