Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُبَارَكُ، عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَيْسَ التَّفْرِيطُ فِي النَّوْمِ إِنَّمَا التَّفْرِيطُ فِي الْيَقَظَةِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: There is no negligence in sleep; negligence is associated with wakefulness.
