Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) used to lead us in prayer, and in the first two rak‘ahs of Zuhr and ‘Asr, he would recite Surah Al-Fatihah and another surah, and sometimes he would let us hear a verse from it. In the last two rak‘ahs, he would recite only Surah Al-Fatihah. In the Fajr prayer, he would make the first rak‘ah long.
