Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، حَدَّثَنِي مَعْبَدُ بْنُ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِيَّاكُمْ وَكَثْرَةَ الْحَلِفِ فِي الْبَيْعِ؛ فَإِنَّهُ يُنَفِّقُ، ثُمَّ يَمْحَقُ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: Avoid excessive swearing in buying and selling, for although it makes the transaction successful, its blessing is removed.
