حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي أَسْمَاءَ الرَّحَبِيِّ، عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْبَقِيعِ فِي ثَمَانِ عَشْرَةَ لَيْلَةً خَلَتْ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ بِرَجُلٍ يَحْتَجِمُ فَقَالَ: " أَفْطَرَ الْحَاجِمُ وَالْمَحْجُومُ " (١)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) once passed by a man who was having cupping done in Jannat al-Baqi‘ on the eighteenth day of Ramadan. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: The fast of the one who does cupping and the one who gets cupped is broken.
