حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ قَالَ: الْحَسَنُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَنْ أَبِي الْمُهَلَّبِ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَحْرٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " مَنْ بَدَأَ بِالسَّلَامِ فَهُوَ أَوْلَى بِاللهِ وَبِرَسُولِهِ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever initiates the greeting of peace is closer to Allah and His Messenger.
